The Sherry Wine Council, also known as the Consejo Regulador de Vinos de Jerez, proudly boasts a legacy of nearly a century promoting Sherry wines in the United Kingdom. Over the past 25 years, its commitment has grown even stronger, particularly in fostering the natural affinity between Sherry and gastronomy, and highlighting its incredible food-pairing versatility.

This dedication is exemplified by initiatives such as COPA JEREZ, a prestigious bi-annual international competition where top chefs from around the world create the ultimate Sherry pairing menu. Because truly, there is a Sherry for everyone.

International Sherry Week
3–9 November

Each year, the global Sherry community comes together for a week-long celebration of gastronomic and cultural events that showcase the wine’s extraordinary diversity, from the dry crispness of Fino to the velvety sweetness of Cream.

Since its launch in 2014, Sherry Week has inspired over 20,000 events worldwide, all endorsed by the Consejo Regulador de Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and Manzanilla. More than 500,000 wine lovers, from seasoned experts to curious newcomers, have explored Sherry’s rich heritage, its distinctive solera system, and its exciting potential in cocktails and pairings. Most importantly… they’ve enjoyed it.

In 2024, the bar was raised once again with 3,048 registered events across 29 countries, from Jerez to London, Madrid, São Paulo, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Auckland, and Shanghai. The ripple effect across social media marked a new wave of Sherry discovery.
